"Umbrian impression" Circa 2000 by A. Borderick-Stephenson 96 by 76 cm gouache framed under glass The church bell gave a peal every hour echoing around the hills and across the valley. This was painted from steep hills looking down on the village of Castiglion Fosco Umbria Italy. Olive trees covered the hills down to the valley floor These buildings could be as much as a 1,000 years old.

"Oak forest early morning" Circa 2000 by A. Borderick-Stephenson 96 by 76 cm gouache framed under glass. This was very early in the morning, had a lot of difficulty getting the paper to dry. it was loaded with water & no warmth for drying, heavy dew. Rigalto Umbria were I was staying was behind me & the forest tracks were my access to the outer world, lots of squirrels, pheasants also a snake, mostly oak trees in this wood.
